He is a member of the Seimas and Senior Deputy Chair of the Lithuanian Liberal Movement Party. Steponavičius was the Minister of Education and Science in Kubilius Cabinet.〔 ==Biography== After graduation in 1985 from Antanas-Vienuolis Middle School in Vilnius, he graduated in 1992 with a Diploma in Legal Studies at the Law Faculty of Vilnius University.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Gintaras Steponavičius )〕 He graduated in 1990 in The Hague, Netherlands and in 1991 from the University of Copenhagen in Denmark. In 1992 he attended the European Institute of the University of Birmingham in the UK, and later the Academy of European Law in Florence, Italy, and the Royal University of Groningen in the Netherlands.〔 Between 1991–1994 he worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania whilst studying, and from 1994 to 2004 he was a lecturer at the Institute for International Relations and Political Sciences of Vilnius University.
